Hello to all!
Life has its way of twisting and turning and straightening out. This past summer my dear father-in-law passed on. It was a pinnacle experience to be with him in his last days here, before passing through that door into another room, as William Blake would say. Such experiences reveal what really matters and what matters more and what matters greatly. He was a large gentle soul and I am glad to have him as my father-in-law. Eugene was a great supporter of my music, sharing our CDs with those he knew and coming out to the shows. As our name implies we believe in Hope. Dad filled my cup this summer with that Hope and gave me a peaceful summer, pensive and peaceful. That has continued into the fall. It has also had an impact on how I approach music; I love and hang on every note in life.
On the music front - and doesn't music connect us: earth to heaven, one to another - we are pleased to say we received funding from Sask Arts Board to help us with a 3rd CD. We are thrilled to be laying down some new tracks and working with Rich Mcfarlane at Mosaic Music. We are approaching this recording somewhat differently and hopefully with more knowledge but just as much joy as last time (boys in a candy store). Morris, Eric and I want to thank everyone who has supported us and has listened to and continue to listen to our music. We hope it has carried you through a part of your life.
We hope to have this new disc packaged by Christmas...but...no promises...it will be as it will be.
We have a few other projects on the go and they will rise in due time.
Peace to all! Gabe
